Is the VE.BUS Smart dongle 48V compatible?

I received my VE.BUS Smart dongle that will connect to my MultiPlus II 48/3000 and just want to ask the question if I am able to connect the smart dongle battery connection over the 48V battery connection (4x12V in series) ? Or does it only work for 12V and 24V systems?

The VE.Bus Smart Dongle is also compatible with 48V systems.
