Max momentarily current of BMV 700?

I have Volvo Penta D1-30 engine in my boat. Is it safe to install BMV 700 in the engine starting cable?

The engine manual says "Main switch requirements: Continuous 150A, During 1000A, During 5sec. 450A"

It is possible to use a 1000A / 50mV shunt. The settings in the BMV can be altered to accommodate a shunt with these parameters.
