Can I power a large single phase 240v mig welder from my 15kw Victron Quattro?

Once I have my PV system up and running, the ultimate goal is to be independant from the grid, i do have a fairly large daily consumption, but one of the largest power consuming, single items is my 410 amp single phase 240v welder. This runs quite happily from the mains on a 40amp breaker, so would estimate its maxiumum power consumption to be approx 10kw. My question is will the 15kw Quattro inverter be happy running this with 100% battery/solar input or would it require assistance from the grid, or would it help the situation to run 100% from battery/solar if I had 2 x 15kw Quattro's?

I cant see why a single phase 15 kW Quattro cant supply a 10 kW single phase load, but I guess you need to consider both the start load of your welder, and the maximum discharge rate on your battery bank.

Power factor on migs can be pretty bad. Needs to be verified.

The simplest answer is on a well set up system it is possible within its rating. So a 15kVa can run a 12kw load continuously when installed correctly. All requirements met in wiring and battery sizing and environment.

On the MiG what is the PF and actual rating of the machine? What are the other loads that will be present at the time of running the MiG? Then size from there.

A simpler option will be to power log your normal running and work from there.
