The 6mm² wires I have to connect to the MPPT 100/20 will not fit into the input jacks on the unit even though they are recommended for this device. Does anyone have advice on this?

Ok, solved, just had to squeeze them into shape using a pliers to fit them in. A real tight fit though! Would be better if the jacks were bigger like on the inverters
I think the solution is to use a square ferrule crimper out of the gate. I had the same problem and solved it same as you. I've bought a square crimper for future projects...
