Paralel connection of the Multiplus and Multiplus GX device

I have PV system with MultiPlus-II 48V/3000VA GX inverter. Now I want to boost the capacity of the system by adding (parallel) second Multiplus-II 48V/3000VA inverter.

Victron manual for parallel, split- and three phase VE.Bus systems say that: "All units in one system must be the same type and firmware version".

Is it possible to combine MultiPlus-II 48V/3000VA GX version and plain MultiPlus-II 48V/3000VA or it is necessary to use both GX devices?

Is it possible to install two GX devices in one system?

Only one GX device per system.

For split- and three phase systems only one MP-II 48V/3000VA GX is necessary. The second or third unit does not need to have the GX card included, just make sure they are the same type, firmware version, same size and feature sets.

First you should confirm with Victron whether your unit can work in parallel setup with currently sold units. Even the same model of MP-II, sold today, might not work in parallel setup with what you have.
