Voltage vs DOD AGM

Hi,

Can some one please share some knowledge on the following.

I have a 48V battery bank made up of 8, S6-460AGM (see attached). I want to set the MultiplusII 48/3000 LVCO (low voltage cut out) at 50% of the total battery bank capacity. Can someone please share some knowledge on what voltage the multiplus shouldsee when the 48V AGM battery bank is at 50%DOD

The only time voltage to SoC relationships are valid is when the battery has been completely dormant for several hours - completely disconnected from the system and sitting there with no charging or discharging of any kind.

Hopefully, you see how impractical that is.

Applying a load causes the battery voltage to drop, sometimes significantly. Do you want your inverter cutting off because you happen to pull a heavy load even though the

Get a BMV or smartshunt. This will report TRUE SoC independent of voltage because it measures how much is going in and out of the battery compared to its programmed capacity. It also factors in some of the variables inherent in lead-acid batteries.

If you get a BMV, it has a control relay that can signal the inverter to shut off at a specified SoC. The smartshunt doesn't have this feature.
