In the case where the ac output circuit breaker is the same size as the AC input circuit breaker, and the multiplus has PowerAssist turned off, will the AC output, when on shore power, always be reduced to the supply line current?
For example, a Multiplus compact 12v/2000/120 is installed with a 30a inlet, and the outlet is connected to a 30a main breaker. PowerAssist is not desireable when the full 30a is connected, as this could possibly overload the main breaker on the Multi's output.
However, if the shore connection is reduced to a 15a service, is the multiplus only going to provide pass through power? Or if that 15a service is providing power elsewhere, and the power current limit is brought to 8.5a, will the Multiplus AC output maximum be that 8.5a, or will it be the inverter's maximum output?
If so, is there a way to use the powerassist and power control settings to add powerassist up to a certain limit, as determined by the output circuit's capacity?
