Hello, I wodering if it is possible to easily add an extra portable solar panel to my current system. I currently have a couple panels on my van, what would be the best way to add extra power when parked up? Can I feed a portable panel into my current controller as long as it doesn't overload it?
It would be easiest to hook up to your battery with a completely separate charge controller. Run your portable solar panel with it's own charge controller. That way you won't have any compatibility issues between your two systems, rather than try to connect an extra panel to your permanent installation.
