We are a small football charity with an off-grid secure compound. We'r installing a solar system on an off-grid storage container to maintain a defibrillator unit in winter and recharge equipment batteries in the summer. We have 2x LG Neon LG380N1K-e6 panels:
At STC:
Pmax 380w
Vmpp:35.2V
Impp:10.83A
VoC: 41.7V
Isc: 11.43V
This is to feed 2x Ultramax 100AH LiFePo4 12v batteries in parallel.
I already have a Victron Smartsolar MPPT 100/15 and Victron Energy Phoenix Inverter 12/250 230V VE.Direct. I'm told by our electrician that the 100/15 is sized too small for the panels (2xImpp of 21.66A at STC). Should I replace this MPPT with a Victron 100/50 or purchase another MPPT 100/15 to save costs? What would your recommended setup be? Thank you.
