I've got my system in ESS setup, gridpoint set to ~0 watts (I'm in France I don't have a contract to allow feed back).
If I turn on a load 1400w on the AC-Out it will drain battery and use solar. As I'm with old wet batteries I set the minimum soc to 90% (voltage drops quickly on the old beasts).
Once reaching 90% I'd expect to see the following:
- maximum consumption of solar to be used to:
1. power loads
2. further charge battery
- take power from grid to not drop below 90% Soc.
What is happening instead is that the MPPT goes to absorption / float slowly topping of the battries while the heavy load is 100% powered from grid.
How to keep MPPT in bulk if AC-Out has decent loads?
