BMV-700 Settings for Pylontech US3000

Hi there. I would like to configure my BMV-700 to correctly monitor 2x Pylontech US3000 batteries. My inverter does NOT have BMS capability, so need to monitor using the BMV.

Please kindly assist with the settings I should use?

I would not use a BMV with a Pylontech battery. All of the battery monitoring is built in to the Pylontech and is available over the canbus.
Additionally, the Pylontech would most likely shut down without receiving a "keep alive" message over canbus. If your inverter does not support canbus BMS batteries then I'd consider choosing another type of inverter or system which does.

We need more information.

Are the batteries connected in parallel or in series?

You'll need to find the Pylontech datasheet for these batteries, the values to configure the BMV are in it.

You'll also need to download the BMV manual from victronenergy.com

At 51V I doubt they would be in series, pylon don’t support that anyway (even if brave enough to try).

Victron require a bms connected for pylon so I doubt you will get anything official and it will almost certainly ruin the pylon warranty.

It’s just not a great idea. Personally I would consider an upgrade.
