I want to use an Orion 12/12/30 dc to dc charger on my Winnebago Journey Motorhome. I plan to disable the emergency start solenoid that is used to combine the two battery banks so that all the alternator charging goes through the Orion. My question is this; if I needed to jump the two battery banks together for an assisted start, basically connecting the in and out cable together on the Orion for a few minutes, will that harm the Orion, or should I remove the Orion from the circuit before doing that?
