Since raspberry pi's are out of supply (at least here in germany) I am wondering what other hardware options are possible to install Venus OS, any other compatible devices that i can use?

Is the installation of VENUS OS on a Beaglebone Black identical to Rpi ?
+ same USB/TTL/JST cable to connect BBB to VE direct port on MPPT ?
