Black 8M on lithium battery

Hi Victron,

I have 4 lithium 300AH batteries between each battery there are 2 black cables which is attached to each end of the battery (hard to find any info on the cable I guess they are called 8M) I need extension as they are to short, my local supplier was not sweet that they are to short with multiply batteries, I’m told that the delivery time is 4 weeks, as I can’t wait 4 weeks I want to know if cut/crimp and extend is possible ?

Hello, These cables'forward the information signals which are coming from each of the cells.

As this is crucial for a safe usage of the batteries I would not recommend to cut/extend these yourself. Waiting for the proper cable is then the better choice.
