Multiplus-II - Grid vs Generator Configuration

System Overview:

Victron Multiplus-II (5KVa) is connected to Grid with Grid Feedback allowed.

Pylontech Batteries

SMA Sunnyboy (5KVa) PV Inverter on AC1.

7KW Petrol Generator - Manual Start.


AC-In is on a change over switch. Position 1 (Default) is the Grid, Position 2 is the generator.


In the event of grid failure, which configuration should be changed on the CCGX to prevent Generator overload and any power feedback to the generator?


Is setting AC1 from Grid to Generator enough?

I cant say i have played with that idea.

We just used to have the generator running at a higher frequency to throttle the PV Inverter.

There are a few posts about accidental feedback to generators and the effects.
