Lowest temp for Smart LiFePO4 DC load operation?

Hey there,

I know the Victron Smart LiFePO4 batteries should not charge below 41*F/5*C. Is it still OK to discharge and run DC loads at 41*F/5*C or below? What would the low temp cut off be for discharging the batteries, if there is one?

Thanks for your input!

As a rule of thumb, discharge is OK down to -20°C, although you should expect lower battery Voltage and capacity as it gets colder.
Lithium plating starts to occur when charging below 5°C which causes irreversable damage by permanently reducing the capacity of the cell. This chemical process does not occur when discharging.
