bmv-712 to turn off mppt

I would like my BMV-712 smart to turn off my 2 Mppt smart chargers, or stop them starting in the morning when my batteries are over 95%. I believe you can do this with a VE.Direct non inverting remote on/off cable, but im not sure how to connect it, do you connect it to the back of the BMV-712 display and which connector do you use, it has 3 connections NO, COM, NC and do you need to supply 12v power to one of these connections as well.

Also in the bluetooth app for the BVM-712 which relay mode would you use "Default", "Charger mode", or "Remote"

Cheers Dann

I can't answer all of this but this is what I can.

VE direct cables have the correct plugs on them.

The display is powered by the cable from the shunt.

You can download the Victron Connect app, go into demo mode and select the 712, all the configuration options are there.

The relay in the display is for low power switching only.

I've no idea if it will do what you want, I've not tried it with mine.

I have the same question.

I would like to use my BMV-712 to disconnect all 4 MPPT 75/15 chargers when BMV-712 detects 95% SOC of the LFP battery.

Can I do it somehow? Using the "VE.Direct non inverting remote on-off cables" maybe?

Yes it works with a VE.Direct on/off cable, I did it that way too. You must connect a thin plus 12V cable (from the battery to be charged) to the COM (contacts are located on the back of the clock of the BMV712) of the BMV712. You connect the VE.Direct cable to the NC of the BMV712 and to the VE.Direct connection of the Mppt. If you have any questions, let me know...screenshot-20230216-042814.jpg
