MPPT not availabe when generator powered on

Hi,


The setup we are using is 3 multiplus units (48/5000) for a 3 phase network (+ carlo gavazzi energy meter) and a mppt 450/100 unit as PV charger.
We are using a 3 phase generator when there is no sun or the battery is empty.

It all runs great, when the battery has 20%, the generator powers up. When the battery is full, the generator stops.

But when the generator is running, the MPPT becomes unavailable in the portal. So it's not clear it's charging when the generator is running. It looks like VE can shuts off when the generator is on.


Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 190.8 MiB each and 286.6 MiB total.

Sounds like an ID issue?

Can you check if every device has its own individual ID?

Hi,

The generator doesn't have an id and is not connected with canbus or tcp/ip.

Normally the MPPT has priority as default.

But since it disappears in the system there's no telling whether it charges while on gen power.

A clamp meter would be handy to measure on one of the battery cables of the mppt...

For the programming of the system I can't help from here I'm afraid.
