Pv inverter connected on Ac-1 shows up on Ac out on VRM. Energy meter used and configured as Pv inverter on AC-in.

I have a system with an energy meter ET340 on the grid.

A second energy meter ET340 is on the pv inverter connected on the Ac-in.

Both meters are configured correctly. They are connected on a CERBO with an RS485 to usb interface each.

The PV shows up in the ac out!

I am running last firmware, I have reset the system, I have removed and reinstalled the meter but nothing.

Any ideas?

Hi @Vangelis Beligiannis

I'm not really sure what you mean here, but if it's the yellow tile, that's actually for pv input, not loads. It may be missing the direction indicators and linked to the Multi/Quattro, but that's something you may need to learn to live with.

What does the VRM Dashboard show?

This is a pv on ac in with a grid meter. Am I wrong? This is how you see the grid and the Ac loads on the input when you have a smart meter on the grid

Are you using ESS? If so, just check that you've selected your energy meter on the Grid side as the energy meter ESS should use. Settings -> ESS -> Grid metering -> 'Your Grid Meter'.

Hello,

I have same problem here. Fronius PV, which is configured on AC1 input side shows on AC output side. Is this only graphic issue or wrong configuration? I use Multiplus II, raspbery and VenusOS but also VRM portal shows Fronius on wrong side. Please help.

Are you running an ESS? Do you have a grid meter as well?

No, I do not use ES mode. I also do not have any external meter.

I have exactly the same problem:
- MultiPlus-II GX
- Energy Meter on Grid boundary
- PV Inverter connected between Energy Meter and MultiPLus, set to AC In1
- no ESS in use
- both VRM and Console show PV Inverter on AC Out
I have everything set to 1 Phase config, Meter configured to Position 0 (AC In1) same as PV Inverter. I use MQTT PV Inverter and MQTT Power meter to filter out 3 phases, as it only confused VRM forecasts and what I really need here is to focus on the 1 phase only.

My setup does not allow for grid feed-in, otherwise I would just switch to ESS. Why I added PV Inverter to the setup is - this PV Inverter is allowed to grid feed-in and I would like to be able to charge multiplus battery with excess power being fed into grid from AC Inverter under certain conditions.

I managed to get the control over charging enable/disable by using charging current control assistant and a relay built into MPPT Charger (which is NodeRed-controllable). Also it is possible to set IgnoreAC Flag via NodeRed.

Having this 2 switches and AC input current limit I hoped to get something similar to ESS without actual grid feed-in. I might need to dynamically recalculate ac input limit as it does not allow setting to 0A like ESS Grid SetPoint.

I would really love to be able to use ESS with CountryCode set to None (physically no grid feed-in), just PowerAssist and grid charging with excess on-grid PV power. I know this setup is a bit weird, as typically having feed-in allowance for one installation this should apply to all, but this is really a specific issue.

It shows however my PV Inverter on AC Out and does not compensate for its feed-in.

Just found out, this seems to be an issue on the Venus itself, there is already a Issue open: https://github.com/victronenergy/venus/issues/1281
