Hello,
i've an existing pv system.
150 modules with 8 strings.
one string have a voltage on cold weather max. 870V
at the moment connected to normal pv inverters (SMA tripower)
behind that i have powersupplies they made 48V for telco systems with batteriecontrollers and so on.
PV => Inverters to 240/400V => Powersupplies to 48V with batteries
now i have the idea to change that und have directly
PV => MPPT => 48V with batteries
I have now a small system running with a few MPPT RS and it works fine. But the MPPT RS have a limit with 450V on the PV site. When i will use the MPPT RS i must be change the cabeling on the PV site. That will be a lot of work of the house top and empty tubes have not enougth space for the double of the cables.
My Questions:
1. Can a use 2 Trackers of MPPT RS in serial to extend the string voltage to 900 V ? I think that would be difficult ...
2. Is there a plan of an MPPT with a higher string voltage on the victron site ?
Thanks
Thomas
