Connecting EM24 via Waveshare 17286 USB TO RS485

is it possible to use an:

Waveshare 17286 USB TO RS485

To connect an EM24 to Venus OS (on an Raspi) ?

This will probably work well.
The official cable has FT232R for USB-UART and it has SP481 for RS485
The Waveshare device is using the same chips for both, so I can see no problem.
