Does anyone know if is is OK to mount a 3000VA Multiplus on its head? I have seen some installation that did this and would like to do the same for the location I am trying to fit.

I would recommend against it as it will negate the chimney effect of convective heat transfer and would probably make the fan work harder.
Actually would it not still have a chimney effect. When the fan turns on it would force air the other way though. If the fan was reversed I would think it would be better than mounting flat.
