BMV-712 Self Current draw not recorded by shunt ?

Greetings,

I have been analyzing what my trailer draws, and trying to increase my battery life. It appears that the BMV-712 itself draws current from the battery that isn't recorded by the shunt via the red voltage wire.

I understand the unit needs power to do its job, so no issue there. I am trying to quantify how much it draws. Is there a specification of expected current draw from the device ?

My measurements show :

Powered on, Backlight on : ~700 mA

Powered on, No Backlight : ~ 300 mA

Powered On, No backlight, sleeping ? : 3 mA
