When I launch the VictronConnect app on my mac, it beachballs forever. It used to work fine. I'm suspecting this is due to Big Sur 11.6 or 11.6.1 updates?

When I launch the VictronConnect app on my mac, it beachballs forever. It used to work fine. I'm suspecting this is due to Big Sur 11.6 or 11.6.1 updates?
This is weird. Turns out I had version 5.9 and the current version is 5.49 in the mac App store. However, for some reason, the mac app store was not showing me any available updates.
Solution: force quit the app, then delete it from the Applications folder usnig the Finder. Then go back into the mac app store, and download again. This time I have the latest version 5.49 and it works fine.
