It would be great if there would be any kind of way to integrate existing ESS. At the moment, I have to implement a "fake inverter" (for battery consumption) using dbus in order to have correct values in VRM. I also need to modify the real inverter's production readings to reflect charging of the external ESS.
So maybe Victron could introduce a new device class in dbus for existing batteries and let the community develop drivers for Senec-, Fronius- or SMA-ESS.
